The Content Management module enables you to change the content on one or more pages on your site. You can buy as much or as little content management as you like so you could start off with a simple news page and then extend the system later to the rest of the site.
The main emphasis of the content management
module is the content. Envoy keeps the styles
of each page separately so the people who
edit the pages don't have to worry about background
colour and fonts etc. This control means that
no matter how many people are editing your
site you can be confident that their contributions
will always conform to the site style and
that someone's preference for bright green
text on a pink background just won't be possible
on your web site!
The main features of Envoy's content management module are:
- Can be implemented on an existing site design or (preferred) a new design
- Add, Edit or remove text, graphics, layout etc of any number of pages
- Enforces consistent page designs
- Contributors can control relative layouts of text and graphics, size of margins, number of columns, horizontal and vertical alignment, include footers and specify keywords
- "Page Section" facility enables editors to split pages into sections, each with (optional) separate headings and display order
- Unique display order system enables multiple sections to be rearranged quickly
- "Preview" facility shows how it's all going to look on the site before you publish it
- Vacancies Manager - advertise your vacancies
- Staff List - fully updateable staff list with contact details and optional staff photos
- "Link Generator" - enables you to create links to other pages or sections; alternatively create links to products or other web sites
- Secure - users require "Publisher" access rights to publish pages to a live site and must have editing right to access specific groups of pages
- "Content Archive" - content is archived when removed from the site and can be re-used later
- Integrated graphic upload enables exact positioning and ensures correct dimensions
